I Really Wish I Liked...

This post is about thing I SINCERELY wish I liked. It isn't about things I don't like. It is about things I don't like but I wish I did.

Panera. I cannot tell you how much I miss my precious Paradise Bakery. For me, Panera does not even hold a candle. And yet, we keep going back. *Hoping* that perhaps their food has gone from average to delicious overnight. Boo.

Running. Why, why, why can't I like to run? I know if I ran that the pounds would start melting off, but as soon as I break into a jog, I am already ready to quit. I really, really don't like it. At all.

Gladiator Sandals. Um, I have really tried to like these but they are absolutely NOT growing on me. I went shoe shopping last night and these were wallpapering the stores, so obviously everyone likes them. But me.
I mean....seriously?
Housecleaning. I love a clean house but I have a very hard time loving cleaning up after 4 people. Sigh........
Anyway, I wish somehow things would change overnight and I would like these things. I have my doubts about Panera or the sandals, but maybe over time I could learn to love running and cleaning, what do you think????

Ditto, for the shoes, the cleaning and the running! :) I tried on like 5 different pairs of those sandals, and I just don't get it! I think other people can look cute, just not me!!

do you like broccoli cheese soup because the broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl is delicious! i grew up going to panera so i love it but paradise does give it a run for its money! it's like how i miss cafe rio and even though we have a million other mexican restaurants, it's just not the same. i loved your post! especially the brace-looking gladiator sandals. haha.

I think there's hope. I remember my early days of running and I HATED it. My poor sisters had to listen to me complain the entire way (but were always kind enough to invite me the next, to which I'd accept, and then complain the whole way yet again...they are saints!) But eventually you get past that and one day, you'll be craving a good run in the rain. I wish I could say the same for cleaning bathrooms, yuck!

Running is definitely one of things I don't like that I wish I did. Hmmmm, what else is there...keeping a clean car. There are some things that I love that I wish I didn't: eating sweets, searching the internet etc.

I've also tried the running thing. It lasted a block. And the shoes, I don't wish to like them. I think they're kinda weird. Yes, I said it. I don't get it. Glad I'm not the only one. I have yet to try the Paradise Bakery though. Don't want to get hooked on another thing I won't be able to give up.

Same about the running and gladiator sandals! I think Naomi from the Bachelor ruined the gladiator sandals, and the running, ugh. I'm trying to make peace with the fact that I'll just never be a runner. Whenever I go to cheer on runners at a race, I just look at their faces and am reminded even more how much I hate it.

Those shoes are sooooo ugly. And how sad that you miss Paradise, we will have to go when you come!!!! And running, well, I love it after I've worked up to 3 miles, but the journey to getting to that point is so so so hard and it sucks. So I can't blame you. Good thing there are other things to do besides run and clean your house! Right????
You forgot your dislike for cheesecake, which I have NEVER understood......

I agree on running, gladiator shoes and cleaning, as for the Panera place I've never been but if it's not like Paradise Bakery I probably wouldn't like it either. I'm going to have to try that Bakery you mentioned though on my blog, I'm always up for a good bakery!

I used to hate running too and my husband runs marathons so it was a bad combo. But, I have learned to like running and it happened when I let Lance teach me how to run. I thought I knew how to run, easy right? one foot in front of the other. But apparently there is more to it. I ran too fast which is why I couldn't last long. I had to learn to slow down (a lot) and it made it A LOT easier. I also had to work up to running a mile and then two, ect. It wasn't overnight. Lastly, I had to learn to breath differently. control your breathing instead of allowing yourself to pant. It sounds a little overwhelming but it really isn't that bad.
I think you could like running but it takes a little effort to start. You should see if there is a running group you could join. Running with others is sometimes a great motivator. If you ever want more information just let me know. :)

I like Panera....I'm with you on the other stuff though. :) And I'll add coconut cream pie to my list. It looks so awesome and so tasty but it's SO not good to me...I really wish I liked it though.

Those shoes will definitely never grow on me either...and oh, I share your pain about the running. I would LOVE to love running, but I don't, really, really don't.

Never tried paradise or panera. But, can I steal the other three and just post this on my blog? Well spoken my friend.

Panera is my most favorite. Have you tried the turkey artichoke salad with half of the apple salad with that yummy apple vinaigrette and fetta cheese?! That turkey artichoke sandwich is the thing I miss the most since becoming a celiac, lol. Hey, do you have those dates for your sessions in utah lined up?

Oh, I am sorry that you aren't liking Panera. I loved that out in the mid-west. I love panininis, though.

Running...gotta have a good partner and then it is more fun. Thank goodness I have the best partner--Greg.

Gladiator sandals...totally agree. I didn't even like them the first time they were in style.

Cleaning--where is my magic wand? I love it clean--hate finding the time and energy to do it.

You are hilarious!! I totally agree with all of these except the gladiator sandals. Can't help it. They make me feel like I'm gonna meet a hotty in a tiny skirt with a metal plated breast plate on. Sounds like you and your darling fam is doing great!! It's fun to check in!
