Confession

No, I have not fallen off the LD wagon yet. Thank goodness! But I do have to share this:
So, after about a million posts about my kids, I decided to write a post about me (the LD post). I think to myself, does anyone REALLY care about my eating habits? Probably not. But I decided to be brave and write it anyway. Who cares if people think I am boring, right?
Here's the confession. I blogstalked myself pretty much every hour after I wrote that post to see if anyone would comment. Day 1: No comments. Day 2: No comments. And so on. I have to admit, I started feeling a little bit insecure. I mean, come on. NO comments? No one thinks I am the least bit witty? No one cares that I am drowning in my own desires for my precious little debbies???
And then my friend Shelly asks if I saw her comment. Say What? I timidly answer that no one commented on it and that Mike was making fun of me for being a loser. And she informs me that her comment said it was 'awaiting approval'.
So I logged into my account and sure enough...there were the precious comments! So thank you for commenting on my 'me' post. I was beginning to think that writing about my LD addiction had turned everyone off...and I am glad to know there are other addicts out there like me. ;)
Speaking of addictions, I have totally passed my sweet tooth onto Rachel. Usually she says, "Please I have treat." (as I have mentioned before.) Well, last night as I was cooking dinner, she looked at me and said, "Joy, I want some candy NOW." Um, what??? My mouth hit the floor. Who is this child?
One last thing. Now that I spend every waking moment trying to refrain from making cookies or things of that nature, I would like to ask: Those of you who are dieting or just 'trying to be good', what are you treats? For example, my sister eats sugar free pudding with fruit dipped in it as her treat. I have been eating 100 calorie packs of hostess cupcakes as mine. Or fat free Kettle Corn. Please let me know if you have a good 'no guilt' treat. Sugary or Salty. I can use all the help I can get.

That's hilarious! I have to confess that I noticed last night that you didn't have any comments and I thought that was weird since so many people usually leave them for you. But see what a good friend I am?...I didn't leave one sorry. But that post had me laughing because I know how addicted you are to those things. And that picture of Rachel is hilarious!

That is so funny. I thought that you had been getting some risque comments lately or something :) Our family favorite no guilt treat is graham cracker cake and graham cracker ice cream sandwiches. Both are so good - let me know if you need the recipes!

Sugar free jello! My three year old LOVES jello and as they say...there's always room for jello!! (Plus, geletin is really good for your nails and hair, right?)

PS - I only buy those little debbie ho hos every once in a while when I feel I really deserve it...because I end up eating the whole entire box myself!

Ever since Halloween season, I have been in a baking frenzy and a fanatic about sweats. I found these cookie mixes by Betty Crocker that are absolutely delicious and way too easy-I can't help but take the ten minutes to make them. I am really looking for alternatives as well so let me know!

We eat skinny cows occassionally for sweet treats and we mix our own trail mix at Sprouts for salty, snacky stuff! Also, low fat granola in yogurt for both crunchy and sweet.
You can do it! I have a friend who always says "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels". A great thing to remember when tempted!

Amen to your post! I am not a dieter but with every new year I vow to get in shape and loose baby weight! I have been drinking a lot of sugar free apple cider and sugar free hot chocolate. They are only about 30 Calories a mug, and with a stomach full of warm liquid you feel pretty full and satisfied. It has been freezing in Utah so It seems to be helping my sweet tooth. Also the just came out with a bunch of 100 calorie candy bars Twix, 3 Muskateers etc. I'm intrigued by because chocolate is my weakness.

Sorry, no hints here on the snacks. I fall off the wagon daily! You are so much stronger than me! But, I have to tell you that I LOVE the comment that Rachel made to you! That is great. Zach hasn't learned that Mommy and Daddy have different names yet, and I hope I can keep it that way for a while!

Just thinking...We have lately started buying Flat Earth chips. They have fruit and cheddar flavored ones that have fruit and veggies in every serving. Josh eats a bag at a time. Good luck!

And Jackson is also addicted to treats. I hear alllll day long "Pleeeease treeeat??? Pleaasse treeeat??" The apple didn't fall far from the tree.

I love the little 100 calorie packs of crackers and cookie.

The shock that you can pretty much eat whatever you want pregnant had me in comment silence! I am SO jealous! If that could be me. Does not matter prego or not the pounds do not melt off. Okay- non guilty treats- I like hardboiled eggs with salt, fat free hot cocoa, or gum!
And I am a LD virgin myself- never have had one! I think if I started I would never stop. GOod thing they are not in CHINA

You shouldn't be dieting yet!! For a year after having a baby you have a free pass to still eat whatever you want.

There are so many sugar free/low fat sweets that I love!!

I too love skinny cows
(the mint is my fave!)
I also love sugar free ice cream...I think it's the Dreyer's brand that is my favorite. (cookie dough) You really can't taste the difference. It does have a lactose in it, which they say not to eat too much - but for me it's perfect! I NEED it! Some people say it is too much for them though.
I also love sugar free puddings and jellos. Only problem is, they are not very filling - but they catch your sugar craving.

You are doing good Joy! Hang in there! Those LD's are GROSS! :o)
